Engaging employees through the intranet

Macmillan Cancer Support is one of the largest British charities and provides specialist health care, information and financial support to people affected by cancer.

The charity wanted an updated intranet to better communicate with their many internal stakeholders. Catering for a wide range of stakeholder groups was a complex task that involved a phased process. The discovery phase included a series of workshops enabling us to produce a report outlining recommendations and a roadmap of features.

The workshops covered information architecture, content strategy, governance, key features and design. They were collaborative in nature which gave us key insights and allowed us to create a design solution that met the needs of all user groups.

The second phase covered design and build using a customised Sharepoint Office 365 solution. The design focused on clarity and functionality which was then thoroughly tested and analysed for user experience to ensure the product met expectations.
